As people, so are we – and it’s those differences that bring us closer together as one team, from championing each of our brand’s purposes to cherishing brilliant cultures in the countries we operate in.

Go beyond
Purpose-led careers. Mentors who will challenge and develop you. Brands that make a difference. We want to lead the way, and in doing so give you the opportunity to enrich your career experience and go further than you ever thought possible.
At Unilever, we believe that Brands with Purpose Grow, Companies with Purpose Last and People with Purpose Thrive. Purpose is the key to accelerating our growth & deepening our impact at a personal and professional level. Research shows us that those companies that can successfully develop and embed a founder’s mentality, aligned with a clear organisational purpose are best able to control complexity as they grow. To unlock the full power of a purpose-driven organisation, we need to unlock the power of purpose in our own lives.
At Unilever our teams not only have access to resources to support them in discovering their purpose but they are also empowered and encouraged to bring it to life every day.

Amazing people are the foundation of an amazing culture. At Unilever Canada we are proud to say we have the best talent! Smart people that work each day with heart and integrity to make a positive impact In our business, our communities and the world.

Our goal is to create a culture of belonging, where our people can be their best, authentic selves.

Flexible working
We’re breaking the employment mould to create new ways of working that suit our business and our people.
People are increasingly looking for more personally and professionally satisfying work. The traditional employer-employee dynamics don’t seem to fit current expectations.
At Unilever we’re pioneering new ways of working to create a flexible environment that values openness and adaptability, builds resilience, and elevates skills and performance.

On October 2022, Unilever Canada adopted the U-Work employment model!
U-Work is an innovative type of employment contract that is designed for Unilever employees and alumni looking for a new way of working with Unilever. Talent in U-Work don’t have a fixed role. This model it’s about working in and out of assignments, creating flexibility for both, the employee and the business.
U-Work was introduced in 2019 and initially piloted in 2 of our UK sites. Following success in the pilots, in late 2020 U-Work was rolled out to all UK and other Unilever businesses around the world.
This initiative is part of Unilever’s Future of Work agenda in response to the increasing number of people who are looking for a different, more flexible type of relationship with the organisations they work with for a variety of lifestyle reasons such as looking after family, wanting to work on a personal venture, phasing into retirement, going back to school or even travelling.
Hybrid Working Model
Our culture is built on human connection. The hybrid working model gives us the best of both worlds, fostering the best-in-class culture that we are known for.
We believe that when done right, hybrid working creates an inclusive, flexible environment where people can perform at their best and teams can collaborate, connect, create and celebrate successes together.
In 2021, we introduced a set of principles to guide how we can make best use of our office spaces while giving our people flexibility and choice.
At the same time, we launched a set of Healthy Working Commitments as the foundation of working effectively together while protecting our wellbeing.
These Commitments were built on the Pillars of Culture, Choices, Meetings and Focus: to protect our energy, capacity and time , while sharpening our impact.
